Last Wednesday, all of year 8 went to Falmouth to complete field work to support their history and geography studies. In the blazing heat, they toured Pendennis Castle and compared the land use and environmental quality at two locations. These trips are aimed to prepare students for their GCSE studies, where fieldwork is a big element of the geography course. Students enjoyed seeing the things taught in lessons in “real life” and we hope it makes their learning even more relevant.
